FEEL THE LOVE!

Follow Your Bliss!

“The way to find out what makes you the happiest is to focus on being mindful of your happiest moments—not simply excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy.” ~ Joseph Cambell

What makes you happy? Truly happy? Now I'm not talking about that surface level, fleeting happy that you get from a new purchase or a perfectly gooey chocolate chip cookie. I'm talking about that in your gut, smile from the inside out type of happy. The everything is possible type of happy. The making your heart smile kind of happy.

When you find that type of happy, hold onto it. Appreciate it and soak it in all the way, deep into your core. Follow it. Cherish it. Recognize and know it. Because life is all about following your bliss, doing what makes you happy, and sharing it with the world every opportunity you get.

Don't know what I'm talking about? Here are some tips to help you find your bliss!

1. Discover What Makes You Happy. Sometimes it takes knowing what doesn't make us happy to truly understand what does. Learn to tune into your inner feelings on a daily basis to help discover what makes your heart sing. You’ll know you're on the right path when you start to feel fulfilled and energized by what you're doing, rather than drained or restricted by it. Stay with your feelings of joy and record it in your journal to help you remember what creates it. However you get there, take the time to find out what makes you come alive, and by all means, do it! Bonus: Walk the path less traveled and have the courage to take risks. You'll never know what truly makes you happy if you don't put yourself out there and try new things.
2. Do What Makes You Happy. Once you know, create space and time every day (yes, every day!) for those things. Know that life is too precious and short to live any other way. Remind yourself that bliss is not an idea, but rather an active way of thinking and living. And, if you think you don't have the time, check out this post to help put things into perspective!
3. Dare to Believe that it's possible to live a life full of bliss and joy. It doesn't have to be too good to be true, or just in the movies, or only for a lucky few. It's fully possible, but only if you truly believe and are willing to take the steps to get there
4. Follow Your Bliss! Once you find it, forget the outside noise, and follow it. Take one step to following your bliss every day. It doesn't matter how big or small. What matters is that you intend to do it, if only for a few moments, every single day.

Love + Light,

~Smita :)
